Only today, when I took part in a demonstration for democracy, peace, freedom and humanity, did I realize how lucky I am that my parents took the bravest step and emigrated to Germany in the 90s.
I was able to grow up in a democracy.
And now this democracy is in danger - in the last few days I have realized how vulnerable this system is and how lucky I am that this democracy was given to us. I put all the grateful feelings I have for my childhood and my life into this sunset.
And now it's time again to protect our democracy.
No gift will be given.
We can't rest.
We have to be brave now.
Too often we forget that we were and still are lucky.
I hope you also feel this happiness.
